Job Title: PeopleSoft Administrator Location: Remote Work Allowed. All work must be in the U.S. Travel: Limited travel, based on client / Sierra-Cedar need (less than 15%), very infrequent Company Overview: Sierra-Cedar is a leading Oracle systems integrator and AWS partner, with decades of experience in consulting services, managed services, and technical services deployed across commercial, higher education, and public sector industries. We have an opening in our Cloud Managed Services division for a PeopleSoft Administrator. Job Description: The PeopleSoft Administrator must have a complete technical understanding of the PeopleSoft Architecture, particularly the configuration and management of PeopleSoft process schedulers, application servers, and web servers. They must also have experience providing excellent customer support to production PeopleSoft environments. They interact extensively with our Database Administration and Cloud Platform teams with various tasks, maintain and troubleshoot our cloud-hosted PeopleSoft and associated 3rd party systems, and support our self-hosted clients. This is a remote, full-time, permanent position working shift hours, primarily an 8am-5pm ET or 10am-7pm ET shift. Occasionally weekend or evening work may be required, as needed. Required PeopleSoft Skills:
  • Minimum five years' experience supporting production environments and customers
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Complete understanding of the management and configuration of PeopleSoft architecture, especially in an Oracle Linux and WebLogic hosting environment
  • Build, configure, administer, and troubleshoot PeopleSoft application systems in a fast paced, multi-client hosting environment
  • Perform complete installs of PeopleSoft 9.x at all tiers
  • Provide expert troubleshooting to isolate technical problems in PeopleSoft, requiring familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server databases, Windows and Linux application servers and process schedulers, WebLogic webservers
  • Troubleshoot and triage issues with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kibana, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, Application Engine, SQRs, nVision, and PeopleCode
  • Isolate issues with SQL statements within PSQuery, COBOL, and Application Engine programs
  • Have in-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft security components
  • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot Search Framework (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kibana)
  • Ability to work across multiple clients with multiple versions of PeopleSoft applications and PeopleTools versions
  • Collaborate with AWS Infrastructure and Database Administration team members to troubleshoot issues and deliver stable, highly available, and secure environments
  • Assist with capacity planning, disaster recovery, and load-balancing activities
Other Preferred Skills:
  • General knowledge of AWS services, certification preferred
  • Administration or configuration of PeopleSoft 3rd party applications and integrations including but not limited to: SFTP, payment gateways, batch scheduling software, change management tools
  • Knowledge of LDAP or other Single Signon products such as OAM, Shibboleth, Okta, Ping Federate
  • Installation and administration of Apache web servers
  • Knowledge and ability to assist with mitigation of security vulnerabilities related to Java, WebLogic, Tuxedo, Apache, and other software packages
  • Administration or configuration of other Oracle applications including, but not limited to, OBIEE, ODI, and APEX
