Position Overview
Our Information Technology team is looking for a talented, motivated, and high-performing individual to join our team as the Manager of Enterprise Systems. The Manager of Enterprise Systems reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications. In this role you will lead a key product development team responsible for managing Scouting America's Peoplesoft Financials and Human Resource Management systems. Will oversee the enterprise systems requirements, design, documentation, analysis, and planning, and the management and sustainment of the enterprise systems, throughout the enterprise systems' development, deployment, operation and improvement for the full life of the enterprise system including replacing or retiring the systems.
This role requires technical and functional knowledge of PeopleSoft financials (AP, GL, AM, AR, Billing, eProcurement, eBill Pay, PeopleSoft Security Administration), Hyperion (PBCS), and PeopleSoft HR (Core HR). A successful candidate will have working knowledge of subsystem and 3rd party integration to financials and HR systems. Project management experience is required and certification preferable.
Responsibilities
• Serves as the product owner and manages scrum teams focused on the entire life cycle management of a technology/digital products including purpose, definition, design, planning, development, prototyping, and testing.
• Responsible for vendor management and overseeing managed services teams supporting the financial and HR applications.
• Responsible for leadership of the staff, including establishing job duties and position requirements, hiring, training, motivating, reviewing performance, and rewarding performance. Serves as an escalation point for issues; resolves conflicts involving scheduling, resources, and technical problems.
• Leads teams to review technology project portfolio for off-the-shelf systems, recommend technology solutions to integrate with financial and human resource management systems and lead projects to implement software maintenance and production support activities. Manages vendor relationships with managed services that support enterprise applications.
• Implements procedures to manage, monitor and support the production system's environments ensuring that regular maintenance, contract renewals, and upgrades/patches are scheduled and implemented as required.
• Provides management oversight throughout the project development and deployment process to ensure that application improvements are successfully implemented. Analyzes requirements, tests, and integrates application components. Has accountability for the performance and results.
• Works with department manager to prepare departmental budget and participates in developing future roadmaps for enterprise systems. Responsible for assessing project risk, cost, and benefits of new projects to justify projects' funding to top executives and determine long and short-term department personnel needs including staffing plans. Plans, develops, and monitors operating and project budget making sure to stay within estimated projections.
• Coaches, mentors, and sets employee performance objectives and conducts performance reviews.
• Ensures good communication with customers, new development project managers, and management.
