Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced PeopleSoft Subject Matter Expert to join our team to support our government clients. The successful applicant will operate as the resident expert, and help leadership develop and implement innovative solutions for complex problems through well-designed plans. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skills, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of collaborators, and build CGS' capabilities to serve our clients. Job Responsibilities As a PeopleSoft SME, you will:

  • Design and Develop: Create and implement modifications to PeopleSoft packaged software and custom solutions to meet specific business needs.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with business analysts and key users to assess business needs and design appropriate IT solutions.
  • Program and Debug: Design, code, test, and debug programs, including customizations such as pages, menus, workflows, self-service components, batch jobs, reports, and queries for PeopleSoft. Prepare comprehensive systems design and documentation.
  • Interface Management: Code and test data interfaces between PeopleSoft modules and internal/external systems using tools such as Integration Broker, application messages, web services, application engine, and SQR. Conduct code reviews for your work and peers.
  • System Analysis: Analyze and repair program logic and systems. Modify program logic as needed, analyze service requests for system changes, and assist peers in diagnosing program failures.
  • Request Management: Analyze and respond to PeopleSoft service requests, recommending cost-effective solutions and estimating required staff time to achieve modifications.
  • Technical Documentation: Create detailed technical design specifications and unit test plans in support of complex programming tasks.
  • User Assistance: Assist users and other analysts in diagnosing complex program failures. Develop recovery and backup procedures and identify and correct software deficiencies.
  • Specification Development: Develop detailed specifications to support applications programming. Review and apply technical design specifications, provide progress updates, and ensure programming completeness.
Required Qualifications:
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
  • Background: DoD background experience required.
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience programming in an enterprise-level environment, with at least 3 years of PeopleSoft development experience.
  • At least 2 years of overall technical experience in system design, project development and production support of large applications/systems.
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleTools, including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Application Packages, Application Messaging, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Workflow, and Query.
  • Proficiency in SQL with strong troubleshooting skills for data issues.
  • Expertise in SQL, PeopleCode, and Application Engine.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft BI Publisher reporting.
  • Understanding of web services and integration between PeopleSoft and third-party applications.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrable ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Qualifications
  • Version Experience: Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2.
  • Integration Skills: Experience creating Webservices/API integration from legacy systems to PeopleSoft HCM.
  • ERP Implementation: Prior experience supporting large-scale organizations with successful ERP implementations.
  • Communication: Good communication and team-building skills.
  • Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Attributes: Proactive and self-motivated.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission.
