Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced New York State licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our health and wellness team on a per diem basis. As a Per Diem Nurse with WPV, you will play a crucial role in providing immunizations, health screenings, wellness coaching, and health engagement services to patients in Rochester, Albany, Syracuse, and Utica. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and skilled nurse with a strong commitment to improving patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide immunizations and health screenings to patients at worksite and community-based clinics and events
- Offer wellness coaching and health education to patients to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention
- Conduct health risk assessments and provide personalized health recommendations
- Document patient information and services provided
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- Current RN or LPN license in New York State
- 1+ years of experience in community health, public health, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of immunization guidelines and preventive health measures
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to community-based clinics and events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing wellness coaching and health education
