Orthopedic Per-Diem PA The Department of Orthopedics provides treatment for debilitating musculoskeletal disorders, such as sport-related injuries and degenerative diseases of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle and hand, bone fractures, trauma, joint diseases and injuries, and spinal injuries and deformities. Our orthopedists are recognized for their operative and non-operative approaches to address sports injuries, spine disorders, degenerative joint diseases, and orthopedic trauma. They work side-by-side with rehabilitation specialists to optimize healing and recovery. As an orthopedic department PA, you will manage all aspects of care for patients on the orthopedic surgery team, including floor management of admitted patients, responding to orthopedic surgery consults in the ER, and first assisting in the OR. This is a per-diem position rotating to help cover staffing needs on all shifts. Preferred Criteria -Experience in surgery or orthopedics required Required Criteria -Bachelor's or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies -NYS PA Licensure -Current NCCPA Certification -ACLS/BLS -NYS Infection Control certification -Current DEA and NYS Opioid Prescribing Training Certificate Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
