Job Details Assessment skills. Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately. Performs thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive and accurate. Consistently demonstrates competent clinical skills. Performs direct patient care activities in support of patient care delivery and team concept. Provides competent and appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit. Demonstrates knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures. Maintains complete and accurate documentation. Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines. Demonstrates responsible professional practice. Knowledgeable of policies and procedures and identifies areas for clinical and professional growth. Consistently promotes an environment centered on the patient and family, cooperating with the patient care team towards their goals and objectives. Maintains confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines. Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and correct patient identification. Demonstrates safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics. Knowledge of conditions/diagnoses, procedures, and equipment encountered for surgical patients. Individualizes patient care based on procedures and type of anesthesia. Contributes to the perioperative team by directing patient care by prioritizing based on patient needs and condition changes. Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedures/instructions, actively including them and their family members in teaching. Performs pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education. Physical Requirements: As defined by Occupation Safety/OMS Job Requirements 1 year experience BLS - Required RN License - Required
