In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What You Will Be DoingPer Diem Weekend Patient Care Assistant Program for BSN StudentsEnsuring the delivery of the highest quality of patient care, you will assist staff nurses in providing comprehensive attention to patients and families, while working in an environment that commands clinical excellence every day.Responsibilities Include
  • Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards
  • taking patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart and respiratory rate, temperature and oxygen saturation
  • Encourage patient to perform exercises and guide patient activities as advised
  • Support the patient with ADLs
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable environment for each patient
  • Record intake and output
  • Escort discharged patients out of hospital as directed by RN
  • Communicates written and verbal information appropriately and timely
  • Responds to patient requests and/or call light
  • The qualified candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and be enrolled in an accredited BSN program.
  • Must have at least two acute care clinical rotations completed by program start date (January 6th, 2025), one of which must be med/surg ; please ensure your clinical rotations are included on your resume. Resumes without this experience will automatically not be considered.
  • Be able to commit to a minimum of 3 weekend shifts a month throughout the year and be flexible to days/evenings/overnight shifts. Candidates may work more than the required 3 shifts a month.
  • Be able to commit to full day (8a-4p) orientation schedule the week of January 6th thru January 10th, and provide an additional 4 clinical shifts between the week of January 13th and 17th
  • A Valid American Heart Association BLS card.
