Acadiana CARES, in conjunction with the Louisiana Office of Public HealthSTD/HIV/Hepatitis Program, is currently recruiting one individual in Baton Rouge and Lafayette to
1) connect pregnant women diagnosed with syphilis/HIV into medical careand community-based supportive services, 2) offer services to ensure treatment accessand adherence 3) educate providers on STI/HIV screening guidelines, adequatetreatment and current reporting protocols. Excellent skills in community engagement,facilitation, program implementation, and quality assurance. A general knowledge ofcommunicable disease transmission, maternal and child health and health education isrequired.
Required Education and Experience:Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Clinical SocialWorker (LCSW) with at least 2 years experience with in-home health and/or socialservices delivery, medical case management, and/or treatment adherence programs.Candidates with at least one year of professional experience in maternal/child healthand working with communicable diseases desired.
