Job Summary and Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors' Hospital, our Perinatal Intake Registered Nurse reviews and manages our patient schedule and assures all preparation for clinical appointments is completed. In addition to pulling lab work and confirming prenatal records, this position is also responsible for interviewing patients regarding medical history and collaborating with referring providers prior to scheduled appointments. In this role you will:

• Assure pertinent documentation is on the chart in preparation for the clinic visit
• Coordinate with physician offices to assure demographic and H&P data are present on the chart prior to an appointment
• Assemble and complete charts to pre-populate all information necessary
• Function in the RN role within the Perinatal Center by providing patient care within Perinatal High-Risk setting.
• Work with physicians and staff to maintain a consistent standard of care, through development of clinical programs, guidelines, and policies and procedures
• Demonstrate leadership through effective communication with departmental staff, physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, and internal/external customers
• Other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

• Current RN License in the State of Virginia
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program; BSN preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in Antepartum, Perinatal and/or Labor & Delivery departments or in an OB office setting required
• Ability to travel between Henrico Doctors' and Johnston-Willis as-needed
