ANM position covers the Same Day Surgery/PACU/ENDOSCOPY/IR areas

Full-time/Flex (36 hours weekly) Day shift -Primarily daytime Hours: 7-1630 (###-####)

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for the clinical practice of nursing and delivery of high-quality and efficient care to all patients using the services of this area.

Shares 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all aspects of daily operational activity.

Directly supervises nursing and technical personnel: Assesses proficiency of staff, Oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of the department, evaluates staff performance, and Counsels staff members when performance issues are identified.

Participates in all hiring, promotion, salary adjustment, and termination decisions.

Functions as a highly clear role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors which support the professional development of staff and the strategic goals of CCHS.

Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and integrity of the staff.

Directs, mentors, and supports all levels of staff on the floor.

Identifies potential future leaders and engages in succession planning.

Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system-wide improvements.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong knowledge of all of our unit practice environments

  • MSN preferred. Candidates with a BSN must enroll in MSN program, with completion within three years.

  • RN required. Perianesthesia experience is required.

  • 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience

  • Qualified applicants MUST have at least two years' experience of critical care or step-down units. ICU experience preferred.

  • Must be flexible to large number of patients in the day due to level one trauma hospital

  • Specialty certification required (CAPA/CPAN/CCRN and/or Nursing Leadership Certification preferred)

  • BLS and ACLS Required

  • PALS preferred - must get within 6 months

  • TNCC preferred
