Job Description:

A healthcare facility in Odessa, TX, is in need of a Medical Physicist to join its Radiation Oncology team and provide physics consultation to all Radiation Oncology personnel concerning aspects of patient care and treatment. We hiring a full-time medical physicist to provide clinical medical physics services. The successful candidate must be board certified and have clinical experience. Odessa collaborates with four other Texas Oncology clinics in West Texas and uses advanced facilities and equipment, including Varian linacs, Elekta Microselectron HDRs, CT simulators, and a mobile PET/CT to treat an average of 20-40 patients daily at each site, with Odessa currently treating 35 patients daily.

Requirements

MS in Medical Physics

ABR

1+ years of experience

TX

Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate effectively to a group via phone/face to face

Strong technical aptitude

Strong analytical, math, physics skills, including data collection, problem-solving

The ability to resolve complex technical issues independently

Self-motivated, organized

Detail-oriented

Possess strong time management skills

Estimated Pay

The facility provides a competitive range of compensation for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location. It is possible that this position can be hired outside of this salary range based on experience.
