Come work where you are appreciated for who you are not just what you can doJOB DESCRIPTION The PACU/ASU Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for pre- and post-operative patients recovering from general, local, and regional anesthesia based upon age specific and cultural needs.Shift: Days - Monday thru Friday - 8 hours shift.QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree from an accredited professional nursing school required
- Certifications: ACLS required upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required upon hire.
- Arizona Registered Nurse and/or Compact State Registered Nurse Required.
- ASPAN Certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- NIH stroke certification preferred.
- 3 years' experience in PACU/ACU.

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
