Description: Permit Administrator
Permit Administrator Job Purpose: Manages the permitting and utility process and the subsequent development tracking for new restaurants, expansions and remodels for Chuy's.
Permit Administrator Job Duties:
* File all permit applications with the city and county for upcoming construction projects
The point person for the Architectural team in the preparation and submission of documents for plan review and follow up.
Conduct preliminary research for upcoming sites to ensure Architects are prepared to begin project development. Support coordination of initial site visits by Chuy's and Parkway teams. Understand permitting procedures for different markets
Identify, select and work closely with permit expeditors in markets to ensure permits remain on a timely track for upcoming projects
Track permitting comments and ensure that Parkway Architects are responding in a timely manner
Effectively manage the permitting process to ultimately reduce overall development time
Create and update Development Report each week
Participate in weekly Development Conference with key Parkway and Chuy's team members
Proactively verify that Parkway has requisite licensees in cities and states for upcoming projects. Support construction project managers to ensure they have the correct and necessary information required to secure end of project inspections and certificates to open
Initiate, contact and set up contract with utility companies for upcoming projects. Proactively communicate this information to Chuy's
Prepare quarterly reports to review overall project timeline and costing performance. Procure NOW checks when needed for permit or utility requirements.
Skills/Qualifications: Experienced in all aspects of the Development process with an emphasis on permitting, architecture and construction. Self-motivated with expertise in computer software especially Excel. Able to contribute in a team environment and direct others when necessary. Keen attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
