Job Overview:

Our Client is seeking skilled Permit Closure Specialists for a high-priority project in the solar industry. This role involves contacting building departments, gathering detailed instructions for closing open permits related to solar installations, and potentially coordinating necessary actions to complete the closures. Experience with government agencies and solar or electrical projects is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Permit Investigation: Contact building departments to verify any open permits related to solar installations or electrical updates and gather specific instructions for closing out these permits.
  • Information Gathering: Effectively extract all necessary details from agency contacts to ensure permit closures are managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Documentation: Record findings and permit statuses in tracking systems, such as Smartsheet or Excel, to maintain organized and up-to-date information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure timely permit closures and address any additional requirements, such as site visits or specific documentation.
  • Project Completion: Execute the scope of work with a target completion date of December 15th, starting with a 30-day project timeline, with potential extension to 60 days.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Information Gathering: Strong ability to communicate effectively and gather critical details from building departments or similar entities.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to ask the right questions, interpret instructions accurately, and follow through on all steps necessary for permit closure.
  • Proficiency in Documentation Tools: Experience using Smartsheet, Excel, or similar tools for effective tracking and documentation.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in tracking permit requirements and maintaining precise records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Permit Experience: Prior experience with permits, solar installations, or electrical projects is preferred but not required.
  • Project Execution: Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple permit closure tasks with minimal oversight.
