PERMIT COORDINATOR OVERVIEW: The Operations Department provides support to Sales, Production, and Client Care Departments through daily management of permitting, pricing, estimating, purchasing, design and plan management. As a member of the Operations Department, the Permit Coordinator is expected to execute a systematic, efficient, and dependable method for managing the permitting process in all municipalities in which Homes by Dickerson builds. A basic knowledge of residential construction is essential and includes the ability to read and understand architectural and engineering plans, understand building terminology, and effectively communicate both verbally and with written documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES: PERMITTING:
- Effectively manage the permitting of all Homes by Dickerson projects, ensuring accuracy and urgency.
- Expedite sub-permits, amendments, and neighborhood variances.
- Coordinate with Engineers, Surveyors, and Trade representatives to collect required permitting documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with permitting/planning departments in various jurisdictions.
- Maintain NCG01 and stormwater compliance through local and state jurisdictions.
- Support Production personnel through build cycle.
OPERATIONS:
- Assist in HBD Safety Program administration.
- Maintain internal databases and systems.
- Perform other duties as needed, including assistance with Purchasing, Estimating, and Land Development.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Associate's Degree or combination of experience and education
- Experience with Residential Construction, Real Estate, GIS, Land Planning/Development, and/or Municipal Administration is strongly encouraged.
- Valid driver's license.
