Overview:

The Personal Banking Assistant in the Banking Service Center Department provides personalized support in all phases of customer service with account documentation, account maintenance and otheradministrative tasks to the branches, the Wealth Management division and the digital channels.

Responsibilities:

Provides customer assistance via phone, e-mail, online requests, or any other touchpoint. Reviews and processes requests submitted internally or by customers through the Customer Service inbox and through online banking, such as processing debit card requests, address changes, stop payments, telephone number updates, bank references, etc. Assists with opening new relationships and with the management of existing relationships for the Wealth Management and IBC departments. Provides support to the branches by processing cross applications, inputting wire transfers, preparing CD reinvestments, closing or processing partial CD withdrawals and addressing ACH fraudulent transactions. Assists BSC Officers and BSC Supervisor as needed. In this position, candidate must always be connected to Ocean Banks phone system during scheduled hours and report any system downtime immediately. This position also serves as back up to the Contact Center in answering calls and assisting with the ITM Teller function. The Personal Banking Assistant must also comply with all related CIP and BSA/AML requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Finance preferred) with one (1) year of banking experience required, directly related to servicing customers in retail banking branch operations, or a Two Year College Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of banking experience required, directly related to servicing customers in retail banking branch operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to understand and implement job related policies and procedures.
  • Experience working in a team (sales and service), and high quality service advocacy.
  • Must be able to resolve problems and adjusts tactics in response to changing circumstances.
  • Must have the capability to prioritize, budget time and maintain work priorities.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on department needs.
  • Must be knowledgeable in internal bank operations (wire transfers, debits/credits and loan payments) and of banking products.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (English/Spanish required).
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer knowledgeable in MS Software, (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Knowledgeable with Fedlink, Pure Cloud, Finser and KACE applications
  • Knowledgeable with Streamline and e-Sign
  • Comprehension of banking laws and applicable compliance regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and Patriot Act is required.
