Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANTLocation: Sharon Hill, PAStatus: Full timeShift: Mon - Fri, 8 a to 430 p, 730 a report time for home careIncentive Sign on BonusPosition Purpose:This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support.Position Details:$2500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment paid in 3 installments. Role includes both home care and facility work. Must be able to report at 730 am for home care assignments. Must be available to work 2 holidays per year.What you will do:* Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring.* Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting, grooming, and meals.* Aid in maintaining physical activity and exercise routines.* Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies.* Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping.* Report any changes in participant's condition to center staff.* Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation.Minimum Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent.* Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring.* Preferred experience in long-term care or geriatric programs.* Strong communication and organizational skills.* Valid driver's license, insurance and use of personal vehicle for home care assignments.* Ability to work independently and adapt to change.* Some travel within the region may be required.Position Highlights and Benefits:* Comprehensive benefit including 1st Day medical coverage, dental, vision, paid time off, 403B and educational assistance.* Access to daily pay and employee referral incentives.* Supportive environment with a patient-centered focus.* Opportunities for professional development.Ministry/Facility InformationMercy LIFE Sharon Hill, part of Trinity Health PACE, provides high-quality care to seniors in the communities we serve.
