Position Type: Special Services/PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT Date Posted: 5/8/2024 Location: District wide (High-Needs School) Closing Date: open until filled Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School transcript, DD214, or GED. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are representative of performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions. • Assist teacher in the management of student arrival and departure activities. • Assist with the individual goals of students. • Support learning experiences that will assist student academic success. • Assist in the supervision of the students. • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Maintain safety and welfare of students. • Provide one-to-one assistance with academic and/or daily activities. • Assist in student personal hygiene (may include changing diapers, assist in feeding, dressing or bathroom functions, cleaning face/hands). • Assist in lifting/transferring. • Regularly required to stand, walk, and bend/kneel while completing responsibilities listed previously. • Other duties as assigned. THIS POSITION IS FULL-TIME, PERMANENT.
