Position Type: SUPPORT STAFF/Personal Care Assistant (PCA) (Full-time)Date Posted: 7/10/2024Location: Bridge Valley ElementaryDate Available: 09/03/2024Closing Date: 08/16/2024 POSITION: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Full-time/with benefits LOCATION: Bridge Valley Elementary School (Location Subject to Change) AVAILABLE: 2024/2025 School Year COMPENSATION: $18.43* p/hr HOURS: Full-time/10-months/Student days only 8:15AM-3:30PM DESCRIPTION: Duties include working one-to-one with a student with autism in the classroom, specials, lunch and recess. Assist student with daily activities, both academic and social. *If student toileting is required, additional $1.25 per hour will be added to base pay. Employment contingent upon personal care services being required for the student's individualized educational program. Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/Transcripts or GED equivalent required at time of hire (the minimum).Must work as a team member, exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks, effectively communicate with both students and adults and be a positive role model for students.
