If you are a motivated professional looking for a long-term fit where you can grow in a role, and will be valued and empowered, then we invite you to apply to our Personal Injury Defense Attorney position in our White Plains Office.This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.The PositionQualificationsJD from an accredited law schoolAdmitted to practice in the state of New York3+ years defending personal injury claims venued in NY Supreme CourtsExperience with Labor Law 200, 240(1), and 241(6), premises liability claimsSuperior analytical skillsProfessional written work product, with the ability to concisely explain what matters most and why for clients, courts and litigant counselLegal project management experience is helpfulResponsibilitiesClaim investigation: client and non-party interaction with paralegal support to efficiently address what matters mostUnderstanding the anatomy to independently evaluate medical causation and interact with the medical professionConduct 50-h hearingsConducting and defending depositionsUnderstanding and applying CPLR discovery rules, to oversee, evaluate and enforce external and internal party complianceSettlement negotiations and ADR ForumsRegularly handle court appearances and conferencesSpearhead claim resolution goals and execute resolution strategiesA variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
