Broderick, Attorney At Law will oversee the firm's day-to-day operations, ensuring processes run efficiently, clients are served effectively, and the firm meets its business goals. They will work closely with Personal Injury Business Leadership, Managers, attorneys, Paralegal and functional teams to streamline workflows, manage administrative functions, and drive strategic initiatives to improve service delivery and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Operational Strategy and Management:
  • Develop, Recommend and implement operational strategies that align with the firm's business goals.
  • Oversee state expansion operational plan, assets, technology. Expand Operational Capabilities for State Expansion: Oversee the execution of state expansion plans, ensuring operational readiness in each new location. This includes managing assets, coordinating marketing initiatives, and integrating new technology.
  • Implement process improvements to optimize case flow, client communication, and document management.
  • Ensure compliance by building controls with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Build and implement performance based management reporting and expectations.
  • Strengthen the firm's reputation as a Best Place to Work by fostering a positive work culture and employee engagement.
Staff Management and Development:
  • Work closely with managers within the personal injury department and functional departments.
  • participate in staff performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee hiring and onboarding processes for operations support members and functional department managers
  • Improve Employee Net Promoter Score (ENPS) by driving engagement initiatives and recognizing staff achievements.
Client Service and Case Management:
  • Ensure firm standards of effective communication between attorneys, paralegals and clients.
  • Implement improved technology solutions that meet our communications standards
  • Implement improved case management solutions and workflows to create efficiencies within the organization
  • Oversee and implement training across the organization on case management and communication
  • Implement improved handoff process from intake, prelitigation, litigation to billing teams as cases move throughout lifecycle.
Financial Oversight:
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance departments to drive revenue producing process improvements tied to budget
  • Analyze profitability of cases, control costs, and ensure proper use of resources.
  • Monitor financial performance and generate reports for partners.
Technology and Systems Integration:
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance case management flows
  • Ensure that the firm's IT infrastructure is secure, efficient, and up to date. (this should be the CTO)
  • Implement systems to improve AI, document automation, e-discovery, and case tracking.
  • Identify and integrate new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Marketing and Business Development:
  • Work closely with business leadership on implementing marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Analyze client satisfaction and lead generation data to inform business strategies.
  • Support state expansion efforts by coordinating operational capabilities and marketing for Personal Injury practice growth.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal standards, including client confidentiality, data protection, and legal regulations.
  • Manage risk by working with our Risk and Compliance manager through diligent monitoring of case management practices and staff adherence to policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Law, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5-7 years in operations management, preferably in legal services.
  • Familiarity with personal injury law or legal case management.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in case management systems and legal technology.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and profitability analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Experience in performance evaluations and employee engagement.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and communication.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations and risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with legal software, AI, and document automation.
  • Experience in coordinating marketing initiatives and analyzing client data.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
