Personal Recovery Assistant

The Personal Recovery Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting Client through their recovery process, offering practical assistance, emotional support, and guidance to help them achieve their personal goals. This role requires a deep understanding of recovery principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide personalized care and support. Candidate will work directly for Client in Beverly Hills, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to Client, offering support with daily living activities, goal setting, social inclusion, and adherence to recovery plans.
  • Emotional Guidance: Offer emotional support and encouragement to Client, helping them navigate challenges, managing anxiety, and maintain motivation throughout their recovery journey.
  • Resource Coordination: Assist Client in accessing necessary resources, such as medical care, counseling, and community services.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and document Clients progress, providing regular updates to supervisors and adjusting support strategies as needed.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to and manage crisis situations with empathy and professionalism, ensuring Client safety and well-being.
  • Skills Development: Help Client develop and practice life skills, including time management, communication, and self-care techniques.
  • Advocacy: Act as an advocate for Client, ensuring their needs and preferences are communicated and addressed in their recovery plans.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding Clients information and adhere to all privacy regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: College degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in first aid, mental health first aid, or crisis intervention are a plus.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends if needed. Expected weekly work requirement will be four days a week (10-hour days). Expected workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
  • Duration: Expected minimum duration of 6 months.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a supportive role, such as in mental health, addiction recovery, or personal assistance, is highly desirable. Track record of providing compassionate companionship to clients.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with clients. Finds rewards in helping others.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of recovery principles and practices, with the ability to apply them effectively in a personal support role.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with client support, including assisting with mobility and daily living activities.
  • Capable of handling stress and maintaining composure in challenging situations.
  • Valid California Drivers License

Compensation:

  • $60 - $80/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Candidate will work directly for Client in Beverly Hills, CA
