Personal Trainer Salary: $23 - $25.00 per hour
Personal Trainer Responsibilities:
* Conducts personal training sessions including consultations and exercise programming
* Monitors and maintains an inviting, clean and safe environment while assisting members with exercise techniques
* Coaches members in support of their desired behavior change
* Regularly checks on member progress and answers questions related to goal achievement
* Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
* Conducts post-enrollment interviews to understand new members definition of wellbeing, goals, cultural background, healthcare needs, diverse abilities and interests, and develops plans to meet individual needs
* Accurately track client sessions by following YMCA protocols and ACSM guidelines
* Follows YMCA policies and procedures
* Performs other duties as assigned
Personal Trainer Qualifications:
* Certified Personal Training certification required (NASM, ACE, ACSM or equivalent)
* CPR, AED and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire
* One year of personal training experience preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field highly preferred
* Ability to adapt to member needs and goals
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals.
