Brief Job Description

The Club at Mediterra, a multiple award-winning private club located in Naples, Florida has an opening for a full-time personal trainer to join our dynamic team.

The candidate will work under the direction of the Director of Fitness and will help support all fitness-related aspects in the gym area. Cleanliness, attention to detail, member evaluations, group fitness, and prospecting will be key functions of the role. Using a team-based approach to the member experience, this role will work to execute all fitness-related activities and events.

This position requires a wide range of skills all supported by an approach based on member hospitality. The ability to communicate, learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced multi-functional role with an ever-changing service environment is crucial for success.

All duties and responsibilities of this position shall be performed at the highest standard with a focus on member and client satisfaction.

Requirements

The Person We Are Looking for Will

* Reports directly to the Director of Fitness including daily, weekly, and monthly equipment updates and notable member requests

* Performs daily opening and closing duties including cleaning equipment, stocking towels, and organizing the small equipment in the fitness center

* Plan, assist, and support all fitness-related events and challenges

* Assist the Director and Assistant Director of fitness with all fitness-related communications including daily and weekly member emails and/or monthly newsletter communications promoting fitness events and programming

* Acts as Sports Club receptionist if needed; greets members and guests cordially in person and via phone

* Learns general knowledge with Foretees and taking reservations for group exercise classes and fitness events

* Assists the entire Sports Club Team in maintaining a well-stocked and clean club by routinely inspecting the facility, fitness center, fitness studio, and locker rooms. Including collecting, cleaning, folding, and stocking towels as needed

* Supports inventory and assists with orders for all supplies and small equipment needed for the Fitness Staff

* Collaborates and maintains the Sports Club calendar of events for all social and sports activities and performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Operations and the Director of Fitness

What We Would Like You to Have

* A Bachelor's Degree is highly desirable, preferably in exercise science, physical education, health education, or a related field

* Minimum of 3 years experience in personal training

* Display the ability to teach group fitness classes as well as carry out wellness-related activities and events

* Current personal training certification including NSCA, ACE, ACSM, or other nationally accredited organizations is required

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally

* Certification by American Red Cross in Adult CPR and First Aid

* Able to work well within a team environment

* Must have a valid driver's license
