The Personal Trainer will serve as a professional fitness trainer and provide exercise awareness, education, and motivation to members, guests, and clients for our client in Franklin, LA. Provide the highest levels of customer service n a friendly and professional manner and foster positive interpersonal relationships with fellow teammates.Hours: M-F varying hours dependent upon client needs; weekends depending on schedulePersonal Trainer Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complies with all Cooper and Client policies
- Assesses current fitness levels and develops personalized exercise programs based upon client goals
- Instructs clients to safely and effectively perform exercises and use fitness equipment
- Maintains schedule and informs clients of any changes with proper notice
- Collects client payments and process according to Cooper accounting procedures
- Actively promotes services to ensure member are aware of service offerings
- Adheres to standards with regard to company required paperwork and processes
- Attends work on a timely and consistent basis. Must be present on-site to perform the duties of this position
RequirementsThe ideal Personal Trainer should possess:
- Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or related field from four-year college or university preferred
- At least one nationally accredited Personal Training certification (ACSM, ACE, Cooper, NASM, or equivalent) required
- CPR, first aid, and AED certifications required
- Minimum of two years personal training experience or approved internship preferred
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. required to maneuver the majority of exercise equipment
- Ability to demonstrate strength training machines, free weight exercises, flexibility techniques, and cardiovascular machines
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Maintains a positive attitude with a teamwork approach
