**Description**

The Miami HEAT and the AmericanAirlines Arena are hiring for a Pest Control Operator to maintain the arena free of pests paying special attention to food preparation areas and public spaces where arena guests are present. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Maintain the arena free of pests paying special attention to food preparation areas and public spaces where arena guests are present;

* Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedule for all pest control needs;

* Document on a daily basis insecticide/rodenticide application and new insect/rodent activity;

* Advise manager of any and all sanitation and structural problems that may be cause for a pest/rodent problem;

* Responsible for the ordering and inventory control of insecticides/rodenticides and application equipment;

* Maintain and monitor exterior rodent bait stations;

* Maintain, stock inventory, order and pick-up adequate insecticides and rodenticides; when ordering, follow purchase order SOP for all orders over $100;

* Catalog all work and projects through the building maintenance work order system to establish a record for reference showing a history of labor and materials;

* Operate equipment such as hand tools, power tools, sprayer application equipment;

* Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed

High School diploma or G.E.D. and five (5) to seven (7) years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of all procedures, techniques, machines, materials, equipment and tools used in pest control. Understand and work from general instructions and specifications and follow preventative maintenance schedules. Ability to follow all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management and emergency procedures. Must have a State of Florida certification for General Pest and Rodent Control. Must attend annual for hour re-certification seminar mandatory to comply with State of Florida certification.
