As a Pest Control Technician, heres what you can expect You wont be tied to a desk. Youll be out and about mobile, independent, and growing your career with a clear view of next steps. Youll be the face of Batzner to your local community. When you first join Batzner, youll spend a few months in training. Once youve got that and some state-required licenses and certificates under your belt, youll take the lead with your own customers. Youll be onboarded and trained by the best of em. What your days will look like Roll up your sleeves and get ready to learn how we take care of customers. As a technician, your office is the cab of your Batzner truck. Youll be responsible for building relationships with customers, scheduling and confirming their appointments. Youll need to have strong communication skills. Theres an opportunity to grow into a role youre passionate about. Some non-negotiables High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training. Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. Some basic math skills. Youll need a valid drivers license. Straight talk about the physical demands of our work Youve got to be able to move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 1120 lbs. frequently. Youll move around a lot. You must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle. Sometimes youll need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Work conditions Youll need to be able to work both inside and outside in your local climate. Youll sometimes be working around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights and scaffolding.
