Job SummaryPest control technicians help customers identify and get rid of various pests through IPM. The pest control technician's responsibilities include driving to assigned locations and inspecting customers' premises, advising and implementing possible treatment options. Technician will identify, select, mix, and apply appropriate solutions or traps to get rid of pests. Job Duties
- Resolve Pest issues through IPM practices.
- Advises/educates customer on prevention, solutions, and if necessary, treatment options.
- Inspects customers' premises to identify pest problems.
- Fills out all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job.
- Communicates with office staff in order to schedule services with customers.
- Follows label of any pesticide being used to include directions for use and PPE.
- Prompt response to customers' needs and treats with importance.
- Identifies opportunities to sell additional company services and products.
- Mix chemicals accurately according to product label.
- Opportunity to sell during down time and make commissions...potential to make commission by selling/obtaining additional accounts.
- Exercise daily time management
- Treat and service various pests including but not limited to general pests, rodents, vertebrates, birds, ticks and mosquitos, stinging insects, bed bugs, weed/vegetation management.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven pest control experience, preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Must care about customers
- Must have a great DMV record and valid driver's license
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must be willing to routinely lift, push, and pull equipment, ascend and descend from ladders
- Must be able to occasionally work nights/weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work on government installations, schools, daycares, and other federal and sensitive locations.
