NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK
Minuteman High School is looking to hire a Pet Care Assistant for Minuteman's Pet Care Program located at 20 Mill Street. Minuteman's Pet Care Assistant will be responsible for receiving pets from their owners between 7:10-7:40 am and releasing the pets to owners between 2:30-3 pm. Minuteman's Pet Care program will be open on average three days a week on most Tuesdays, non-early dismissal Wednesdays and Fridays. Individuals applying for this position will work collaboratively with Animal Science instructors and pet owners to ensure a smooth transition in and out of the program. The pay is $25/hour, more than one candidate could split the days.
Major Responsibilities:
* Check pets in and out of Minuteman's Pet Care program
* Assist in invoicing as needed
* Provide a safe and welcoming environment for pets and pet owners
* Communicate any additional information shared at drop to the Animal Science instructors
* Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
Knowledge and Abilities Required:
* Minimum 2 years' experience with animals and customer service preferred.
* Ability to work as part of a team to foster a positive working relationship with staff
* Citizenship, residency or work VISA in the United States is required

Physical Demands (if applicable): Must be able to transport leashed pets into kennels and/or into the dog park. On occasions there may need to move items/animals up to 50 pounds.
