Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated and caring Pet Resort Specialist. Our Pet Resort Specialists take care of the everyday needs of patients in the hospital and in the hospital's boarding facility. The Pet Resort Specialist must enjoy working with animals and have a genuine compassion for their care and comfort. This position also has a strong emphasis on cleaning in addition to pet care. Job responsibilities Feed hospitalized/boarding animals as directed Record and report important information about animal's conditions Check in boarding animals, weigh them and take to appropriate areas Bath, brush and trim nails on dogs and cats Exercise animals according to client requested boarding package instruction Provide compassionate care to patients and always look out for their safety Clean all patient cages, kennel areas and grooming area daily Qualifications and Skills Attention to detail Ability to multitask and take initiative Ability to work in stressful situations while making sound decisions Excellent Customer service skills Excellent prioritization and efficiency Must be able to lift patients up to 40 pounds alone, and patients over 50 pounds with assistance Benefits and Perks Higher than normal pay ranges with incentives using a Pay for Performance compensation system 401k Medical, Dental, Vision and Supplemental Insurance Paid Time Off Continuing Education allowance Uniform allowance Employee pet care benefit Tuition Reimbursement for Veterinary Technician school Professional development Candidates moving through our hiring process will be interviewed, have a background/drug screen, and have their previous employers called for references.
