Job Description:
Foreman: Job Overview: The primary function of the Petroleum Construction Foreman is to oversee all petroleum/fuel related construction projects ensuring everything is on schedule including flow of materials, deliveries, skilled trade, and equipment. The Foreman is also in charge of coordinating on-site construction activities including the supervision of his/her crew to ensure all work is completed safely, timely and to required quality standards. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Petroleum Construction Manager. Essential Job Functions:
  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities.
  • Ensure the crew knows what work needs to be completed and ensures it is finished on time.
  • Inspects all completed work to ensure Corrigan Oil quality expectations are met.
  • Maintain construction schedule, identify, and solve problems.
  • Oversee daily scheduling of petroleum/fuel related construction projects and related construction personnel.
  • Organize and ensure all materials have been ordered for projects.
  • Schedule equipment needed for projects.
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Able to lift 60 pounds of necessary equipment and able to push and pull 75 pounds.
  • Handle exposure to dust, fumes, and high noise levels.
  • Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, be courteous and always be friendly to customers and co-workers.
  • Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous meetings.
  • Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as Employee Handbook policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications / Experience / Education:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of position related experience
  • Versatile and willing to adapt to a situation.
  • Communicate well through emails, over the phone, or face-to-face.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must have valid drivers' license. CDL A - preferred.
  • Attention to detail including follow up and follow through.
  • Pass a pre-employment 7-year background check.
