Henry Ford Health offers a one-year community-based residency designed to provide balanced experiences in a variety of specialty, mail-order, community, and ambulatory pharmacy services. Our mission is to develop highly skilled pharmacy practitioners empowered to optimize patient care, develop clinical skills, and excel in advancing pharmacy practice in the community setting. Pharmacists completing this residency experience will be prepared to provide patient care at a level beyond that of a practitioner without postgraduate training. They will be skilled in educating other health care professionals, students, and patients, and will exemplify professionalism both in philosophy and by example. Required Rotations Orientation to Community-Based Pharmacy PGY1 Community Pharmacy Mail Order Clinical Services Primary Care Clinic Discharge Pharmacy Specialty Pharmacy - Core Patient Management Specialty Pharmacy - Advanced Patient Management Specialty Pharmacy - Clinical Programs Pharmacy Administration Elective Rotations Pharmacogenomics Pulmonary Clinic Cardiology Clinic Advanced experiences of the required rotations above Longitudinal Rotations Staffing Professional Development Research Additional Learning Experiences Wayne State University, Teaching and Learning Curriculum (highly recommended) Professional Meetings Research Opportunities Educational Presentations Quality Improvement Initiatives Business Plan Development Requirements Eligible for employment in the United States PharmD graduate of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy Available to begin program by June 16th Eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan Application documents submitted by January 2nd through PhORCAS System Letter of Intent/Personal Statement Curriculum vitae Transcripts from pharmacy school Three completed references in PhORCAS Interview #J-18808-Ljbffr
