Job Title: Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
General Summary: The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is responsible for implementing the organizations sales/marketing plan to assure maximum market penetration. Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and innovative environment where proactive business ideas are strongly encouraged. The position requires demonstrated business and analytical capabilities, excellent communication and prioritization skills, experience identifying and developing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), as well as a strong collaborative working style coupled with a high sense of urgency and drive for achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing strong business relationships with health care partners and customers
Building territory plans to launch a new brand into the territory
Developing strategies to approach potential customers and increase sales
Distributing appropriate information to health care professionals as needed
Clinical resource for customers
Organizing and executing sales presentations
Expert with clinical data and utilizing it in a sales presentation
Keeping current with the competition's products, service offerings and activity
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all company support departments
Being fully compliant with all safe use initiatives and company policies and procedures.
Effectively deliver products safe use education to appropriate customers
Planning and implementing an effective call plan
Abiding by company policies and procedure
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of one year Pharmaceutical Sales experience
Experience launching new product(s) in specialty markets
A history of succeeding in a start-up/small company environment preferred; experience working in a specialty sales team is a plus
An accountable self-starter
Location:
Field Based – Must live within assigned territory
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 25 pounds
Ability to sit, stand or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and independently travel
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
Ability to proficiently operate computer hardware and software on a daily basis
