Partial relocationThe Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for the preparation and dispensing of medications and pharmaceutical supplies to both inpatient and outpatient clients. This role plays a critical part in patient care, ensuring medications are accurately prepared, verified, and dispensed in a timely manner.Shift Information:
- Primary Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- Secondary Shifts: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Salary: $126,464 - $187,158 Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients, adhering to all regulatory and safety guidelines.
- Review and interpret physician orders, ensuring correct medication and dosage.
- Provide information and counseling to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medications, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure the best pharmacological care is delivered.
- Maintain and update pharmacy records as required by law and hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Registered Pharmacist (NYS) license are required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Skills: Basic computer knowledge is preferred for managing digital records and ordering systems.
