Overview:

Scope of Responsibilities: Provides vaccination services to Kinney patients within the store and at offsite locations. Responsible the processing, administration, and documentation that is consistent with State and Federal laws/regulations and Kinney Drugs policies and procedures as it relates to vaccinations. Vaccinations provided will include all vaccines allowed by the Prep Act and/or by State Law to patients ages 2+ in NY and 3+ in VT.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer vaccines and monitoring patient for potential adverse reaction
  • Process vaccination prescriptions within the pharmacy dispensing software
  • Document vaccines in accordance with state/federal regulations and following Kinney Drugs policies and procedures
  • Counsel patients regarding recommended vaccines
  • Offer additional vaccines as appropriate
  • Travel to stores and to clinics within the region to administer vaccines
  • Review, collect, and file patient information, replenish vaccine supplies, organize vaccination paperwork and reference materials, and any other duties required during vaccination administration
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating workflow of vaccination clinics
  • Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
  • Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy

Job Requirements:

  • Posses and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test
  • Certified Immunizer

Job Skills Required:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Basic keyboarding skill

Compensation:

$55.00 an hour

The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
