This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of day to day operations of Pharmacy Operations, including fulfillment of prescriptions, inventory maintenance, security, packing, and customer service. The pharmacist shall be responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medications to the public and for adherence to all state and federal laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy and compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is someone with leadership, managerial and entrepreneurial spirit who is looking for an opportunity to get on the ground floor and grow with the company.
The Pharmacist in Charge will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Oversee operations of the retail Pharmacy within a clinic
- Oversee all pharmacy operations and staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management
- Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with healthcare providers on treatment plans
- Participates in all new business development
- Administer operational and administrative policies, standards and practices
- Ensures that all pharmacy operations meet all licensing standards established by local, state and federal agencies
- Collect pertinent patient information and enter patient data.
- Promotes effective personnel, departmental and organizational working relationships that reinforce the achievement of organizational goals, objectives and operational effectiveness
- Maintain the prescription department as clean, safe and secure
- Dispense prescriptions to patients in accordance with store policy and in conformance with regulations and laws dealing with the class of prescription.
- Counsels patients about their medications and maintain an accurate up-to-date patient profile.
- Receive, investigate and respond to all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, deliveries and complaints.
- Maintains inventory levels for medications
- Comply with all security/loss prevention procedures
- Ensures the store is prepared for audits and in compliance with laws and regulations
- Exercises discretion and judgment in fulfillment of medications
- Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, and managerial skills
- Good Computer Skills related to the practice of pharmacy, in addition to, the ability to functionally use Microsoft systems; word, excel, outlook.
- Good clinical knowledge on all medications.
- Ability in working with point of sale, inventory management systems, Pharmacy Information Systems.
- Leadership to include staffing, operations, & pharmacy fulfillment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
Graduate of an accredited pharmacy school with the degree of Pharmacy Doctor or Bachelors in Pharmacy with pharmacy management experience.
5 years of retail pharmacy management.
Pharmacy manager experience a plus
340B experience a plus but not required
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, managerial, and communication service
AAHIV certification or willing to obtain certification a plus
Experience working with the LGBTQ+ community a plus

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
