Key Responsibilities:

Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.

Patient Counseling: Provide thorough guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.

Controlled Substances Management: Maintain precise records and responsibly manage controlled substances.

Staff Training: Train and mentor pharmacy staff to uphold best practices.

Collaborative Care: Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess.

Insurance Processing: Efficiently handle insurance claims and reimbursements.

Customer Service: Professionally address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns.

Job Requirements:

Required: Valid pharmacist license as per state regulations.

Required: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.

Proficiency in pharmacy management software.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
