Summary:POSITION SUMMARY The Pharmacy Director plans, organizes and directs all functions of Rolling Hills Clinic's pharmacy services. This job assures all legal, regulatory, and accrediting requirements are maintained at the best demonstrated practice. The Pharmacy Director maintains a professional presence throughout the Clinics and develops relationships with clinical and non-clinical leaders. This job assures pharmacy services and activities are carried out to meet goals and standards of both RHC and it's patients. In addition to providing managerial leadership to the pharmacy, the Pharmacy Director, maintains financial responsibility for the pharmacy and ensures the department delivers on RHC's goals and objectives.

Duties:DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides necessary vision and leadership to effectively motivate and direct the Pharmacy Department in developing and achieving goals and objectives that are congruous with the values, mission and strategic plan of Rolling Hills Clinic and the Department of Public Health. Develops, manages, and monitors budgets for the Department. Maintaining fiscal awareness and collaboration in budgetary decisions (staffing and productivity, supply expenditures, etc.) to ensure mandated services are provided in a cost effective, patient-focused manner. Provides direction on all pharmaceutical services: personnel, purchasing, and administrative operations. Will serve as the lead in the creation of a RHC Pharmacy, including all policies and procedures; ordering of appropriate equipment; drafts of job descriptions and hiring of all Pharmacy staff. Develops, evaluates, and proposes clinical pharmacy programs to enhance pharmaceutical care; sets, develops, formulates, revises, and administers departmental policies and procedures concerning pharmaceutical services; collaboratively sets, develops, and revises organizational policies on medication management. Integrates pharmaceutical services, standards, and quality improvement practices throughout RHC and works with RHC leaders to develop solutions to complex medication management issues. Ensures compliance with applicable external agency regulations such as the California Department of Public Health, the California State Board of Pharmacy, and pertinent collective bargaining units; takes the lead on pharmacy and medication-related issues with officials and regulatory representatives. Represents RHC Pharmaceutical Services to patients, DPH, public, governing bodies, internal committees, and others. Analyzing the pharmacy delivery system, using qualitative and quantitative data to identify issues, develop evaluative measures, and determine programmatic adjustments; problem solving by analyzing risks Responsible for understanding the impacts of local, state, and rules/regulations impacting a client's 340B program. Maintains awareness of updates to the 340B program and shares with team members and clients, where appropriate. Contributing to the organization's compliance expertise on 340B Program details, policies, and procedures to include tracking and reporting, purchasing and inventory oversight, and 340B software maintenance
Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, or related field and a minimum of five years of industry related experience in health care with at least three years in health care corporate compliance or ten years of industry related experience in health care with at least three years in health care corporate compliance. Master's degree preferred. Healthcare Experience required. Experience working with Tribal populations is helpful and knowledge of health disparities highly desired. Current CPR certification. LANGUAGE SKILLS Bilingual skills are preferred, but not necessary for this position.
