Pharmacy Practice - Adjunct

Summary:

The School of Pharmacy at D'Youville University is seeking qualified faculty members to coordinate and deliver instruction throughout the School's C course sequence. This role is equivalent to half of a standard teaching load (6 credit hours) and may include additional coursework as assigned by the Chair of Pharmacy Practice. Faculty members will also serve as preceptors for students during their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) and participate in faculty committees.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, co-coordinate, and deliver a variety of pharmacotherapeutic topics and pharmacy skills essential to professional practice for the School's 3-year online Pharm.D. program.
  • Participate in the shared governance of the School of Pharmacy.
  • Uphold the mission and vision of D'Youville University and the School of Pharmacy.
  • Act as an advisor and mentor to Pharm.D. students in the online program.

Requirements:

  • Pharm.D. from an accredited college or university.
  • PGY-1 residency training in an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited program (or equivalent experience).
  • PGY-2 residency training in an ASHP accredited program is preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various software programs for online course development and delivery.
