A key member of the pharmacy department team, this position requires a wide array of interpersonal as well as organization skills. The Pharmacy Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all quality services and metrics, ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal patient care on a daily basis. The Pharmacy Quality Coordinator facilitates the development, implantation, and maintenance of system that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies. The Pharmacy Quality Coordinator is also responsible for the appropriate membership on various committees throughout the Tanner Health System. Required Knowledge & Skills Education: Doctor of Pharmacy Experience: Five years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures. Licenses and Certifications *GEORGIA PHARMACIST LICENSURE Qualifications *Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. *Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Georgia, state of Alabama as well (preferred). *Five years health system experience preferred, with three years in a hospital pharmacy position required. *Ability to interact and work well in a team-oriented environment. *Capability to not only perform, but to excel in a high stress environment. *Leadership capabilities are an important feature in this team driven department. *Thrives in a dynamic environment making independent decisions and using problem-solving skills. *Needs computer skills in various program requirements. *Ability to organize various tasks and schedules in order to maximize time utilization and staff deployment. *Professional as well as pleasant demeanor when dealing with departmental, interdepartmental, and public personnel.
