Job Summary

This position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients' in financial support programs, mail order tracking and drug inventory management, and coordinating first time dispenses and refills for specialty medications prescribed within UK HealthCare. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of sub specialty disease states.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

This position requires dependability, excellent customer service and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Must be self-motivated and be able to stay on task. Must be reliable and punctual. This position requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to be applied with both patients and other medical professionals.

Creates and maintains cultures where all staff delivers friendly, patient centered care.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Retail and/or Hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required. Hired candidate must maintain licensure as CPhT from PTCB/ExCPT during employment in this position. Salary range based on experience and certification
