General Summary of PositionWe are actively recruiting for a Pharmacy Supervisor - Informatics and Automation to join our team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, MD.The Pharmacy Supervisor of Automation and Informatics providesdirect supervision of pharmacy automation systems to achieve optimalintegration with pharmacy operations in distributive and patient careactivities. This includes oversight of the electronic health record, automateddispensing cabinets, IV workflow solutions, smart infusion pumps, and RFID kitand tray management systems. The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for assisting theManager/Director in implementing and monitoring programs, personnel, budget andfinance, compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws andregulations, with MMMC policies and procedures, and with professional societystandards (ASHP, USP, TJC, State BOP, etc.) and guidelines. Also, this positionis responsible for providing pharmacy services to patients and staff includinginterpretation of physician orders, preparation and dispensing of medicationsand IV solutions.Minimum Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required
Experience
- 3-4 years clinical and/or operational experience in hospital setting required
- Leadership experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Maryland Pharmacist license required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers.
- Moderate Computer skills to perform prescription entries.
- Experience with computerized Pharmacy information systems
- HIPAA policies on Confidentiality
