Mon-Fri: 8a-4:30p

Salary based on experience: $136,715.02 - $184,967.38

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Required OR
  • Doctorate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 3 years Health system, specialty, or mail-order pharmacy experience or has successfully completed a Post Graduate-Year 1 accredited pharmacy practice residency. Required
  • Medical and prescription insurance reimbursement experience. Preferred
  • Experience in customer service. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Pharmacist - KBP If pharmacist, licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Kansas. Must obtain active license within 90 days of employment. Failure to obtain active licensure within designated time frame will result in termination. Required

What you will do

  • Provides management-level intervention for daily issues and problems requiring interaction between the Specialty Pharmacy Department and other health system personnel. Responsible for the specialty pharmacy staffing schedule.
  • Performs all duties of a specialty pharmacy clinical staff pharmacist, including staffing duties to achieve efficient specialty pharmacy operations, including the prescription workflow, patient counseling, infusion approval, financial assistance, after-hours on-call rotation, and others.
  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Ensures compliance with controlled substance records, 340B, and other governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Oversees teams supporting prescription specialty pharmacy, infusion specialty pharmacy approval, and specialty pharmacy financial assistance.
  • Gives exceptional customer service to patients, prescribers, and other health system personnel. Serves as an example for the staff, coaching pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff when needed.
  • Identify opportunities for the Stormont Vail Pharmacy to partner with prescribers in the development of new initiatives and avenues of service. Identify areas for process improvement and participate in related activities.
  • Maintain productivity, quality and customer service requirements according to department policy and procedure.
  • Complies with Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations.
  • Complies with HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
