Responsibilities:Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist this position will assist in providing pharmaceutical preparation and delivery of care to patients. Processes medication orders accurately and safely according to established guidelines of good manufacturing practices.
Provides the best clinical and operational pharmacy services to satisfy the needs of the patient, family, pharmacy department, and hospital. Supports the mission and vision of the pharmacy department and hospital. Perform duties in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards of the hospital. Communicate clearly when speaking or writing. Solve practice problems efficiently. Document pharmaceutical care activities appropriately. Interpret, prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques and following the hospitals policies and procedures. Manage time effectively to fulfill practice responsibilities. Maintain a professional image. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Understand and participate in the steps that must be taken to ensure departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory and safety requirements. Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy departments policies and procedures. Participate in the pharmacy departments/hospitals performance improvement programs. Participate in the pharmacy orientation programs and staff meetings. Participate in stock-control programs of monitoring, ordering and inventorying medications and products as required by the director of pharmacy.
