Position Summary

Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance, and support for the registered pharmacist.

Reports to: Director of Pharmacy

Responsibilities of the Position

Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.

Fills medication carts on a daily basis.

Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.

Repackages bulk medications.

Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Graduate of a Program in Discipline or education and experience to successfully pass the Pharmacy Tech certification is required.

Certifications/Licenses

Pharmacy Tech Certificate within 12 months of date of hire.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Health Association is required within 30 days of hire.

Required Skills

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
