Job Description:Baptist Health is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Stock Clerk to join our team at our new Central Pharmacy in LaGrange, KY. - Fills stock orders for hospitals, community/specialty pharmacies, outpatient infusion centers and other BH affiliates in accordance with State and Federal laws.
- Performs station inspections for assigned areas, checks in and stocks ordered medications.
- Performs necessary calculations accurately.
- Assists the pharmacist in maintaining the security of medication.
- Handles controlled substances in accordance with pharmacy department policies and procedures.
- Completes and provides appropriate documentation as required.
- Restocks returned medication in a timely manner and assists pharmacy management in monitoring waste to identify areas for potential improvement/cost savings.
- Ensures a smooth workflow by completing all assigned tasks prior to the end of shift.
- Maintains familiarity with medication formulary and standard abbreviations.
- Assists in training new staff when assigned.
- Rotates stock to avoid product out dates.
- Performs inventory checks and informs buyer of needed medications.
- Performs medication cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
- Scans received inventory to ensure bar code compliance.
Minimum Requirements- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals) within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire.
