Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits.Description:The Pharmacy Technician I performs technical functions for Ambulatory Pharmacy Services under the direct supervision of licensed Clinical Pharmacists, and Pharmacy Technicians level II and III. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work in a setting filling outpatient prescriptions
  • Providing excellent customer service to all
  • Entering prescription orders into a computerized system
  • Filling prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist
  • Maintaining inventory, cash register/point of sale transactions
  • Assist in maintaining an efficient workflow, navigating complex processes and systems
  • Understanding and acting in accordance with the laws pertaining to confidentiality
  • Basic pharmaceutical compounding non-sterile skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff, both in person and on the telephone
  • Related tasks as required
  • Minimum Qualifications Required:1. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Illinois.2. Any one of the following that equals six (6)months: A. Successful completion of a formal training program in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices.ORB. Work experience in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices. Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bilingual English/Spanish
