Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianPay: $17 an hr | Bi-weeklyJob Type: Onsite in Albany, NYShift Options: (2) needed to work 2-10pm Thursday - Monday and (3) needed to work 10am-6pm Thursday - MondayPharmacy Technician Overview:Assists with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and in accordance with state pharmacy regulations.Performs at least one higher level pharmacy technician responsibility in addition to filling prescriptions, such as Control Room, MTS (prepack machines), inventory control (purchasing), data entry, IVs, servicing facility-based medication dispensing machines).Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy.Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items from the inventoryPrepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compoundingCommunicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner.May process returned medications from the facility for credit or destructionAssists in the training of new employees.Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:Verifiable High School DiplomaAttendance mandatory for first 90 daysMust have valid NY licenseNational Certifications preferred1 year of pharmacy tech experience – long-term care setting preferredPharmacy Technician Benefits:Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance.A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.How to Apply:If you are interested in this position, please apply OR submit your resume to:Saw Hlaing | ...@alinestaffing.com | 412-###-####
