We have a top client in the health insurance industry seeking motivated employees to work as a Pharmacy Technician in a 100% remote environment!!

Must be able to work a flexible schedule between the hours of Monday-Friday 7AM-6PM EST.

Job Description:

  • PA Specialist in Part B Pharmacy will support our client's providers (physicians and other healthcare providers rendering medical care) with Medicare Part B drug coverage inquiries, and prior authorizations
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing calls from both members and providers
  • Will assist in providing pharmacy services.
  • Other related skills may be required to perform this job.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years Specialty and/or Retail Pharmacy experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of call/contact center experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of third party claims process
  • Prior experience with processing prior authorization requests
  • Knowledgeable with Medicare Part B
  • Experienced working with Medicare recipients
  • Knowledge of specialty prescription drug names, NDC drug codes, therapeutic classes and claims processing preferred
  • Experience analyzing written, faxed, and verbal inquiries which may lead to entry of medical authorizations into the online provider facing webtool

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Prior Authorization on Pt B specialty medications
  • Knowledge or pricing NOC drugs
  • Familiarity with Medicare Guidelines and Timeframes
  • Knowledge of pharmacy and/or medical claims processing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Education/Certifications:

  • High School Graduate of GED equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of college preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred
