Job Description:

The Primary purpose of this position is to assist the pharmacist in providing technical pharmacy services by processing, preparing, and filling medication orders. This position is designated mandatory during Adverse Weather or Emergency conditions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Qualified applicants must document on the application that they possess all the following:

* Candidate must have:

* Computer skills

* Experience in working as a pharmacy technician.

* Working knowledge of medications

* Experience in communicating with other healthcare professionals.

Management Prefers Candidate with the following:

Must be registered with the NCBOP (NC Board of Pharmacy). National certification is not required but preferred.Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program; or High school diploma or General Educational Development diploma and one year of pharmacy-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some positions may require certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
